Landis (Tuck) Sholly fell in love with R.B. Hobaugh Sr.’s granddaughter, Catherine Hobaugh. They were married in 1971, and Landis joined the business in 1972 to help Cathy’s Dad. It didn’t take long until he had learned the business and opened his own home wiring business—Sholly’s Electrical Service. Although his business was growing, he was drawn back to his in-laws’ business in 1978 when Cathy’s dad became ill. In 1981, he and Cathy purchased R.B. Hobaugh & Son. Landis also ran Sholly’s Cycle Shop (motorcycles) from 1982 - 1984.

Keeping things in the family has always been important to Catherine Hobaugh Sholly, granddaughter to the late R.B. Hobaugh, Sr. She and her husband Landis Sholly purchased the business in 1981 making it a 3rd generation business. Continuing the legacy started by her grandfather and continued by her father, Cathy is still very hands on. She is responsible for all day-to-day clerical work and accounting/bookkeeping tasks.

Marc has a long history with R.B. Hobaugh & Son, having joined the company in 1987. He started as an apprentice electrician and moved into estimating in 1993. He’s been a Master Electrician since 1999. He enforces the R.B. Hobaugh quality commitment, ensuring that if it’s done by R.B. Hobaugh, it’s done right!
